WRITING
During the pandemic I was able to write more and attend several online workshops and courses. These were invaluable in both keeping me in touch with people and giving momentum to my writing. I've also met many new friends for which I'm very grateful.
Along the way I encountered some success which is a bonus.
Covid-19.
During the Covid-19 pandemic, I was fortunate to have been able to spend time in idyllic isolation in the countryside of North Northumberland. I remained working full-time, without having to be resident in St Andrews. Thanks to the technology of MS Teams and Zoom, I was able to maintain links with my fellow colleagues and University students.
I retired from my position with the University of St Andrews in August 2022 in order to pursue other interests. I'm spending 2023/24 transitioning my life from St Andrews to Northumberland permanently where I will be nearer to family.
